Kate Cappelmann joined the firm after over a decade of law practice in South Carolina and Georgia. She earned her law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2012.

During law school, Ms. Cappelmann worked as a law clerk with her family’s law firm in Alabama, which has been in operation for nearly 100 years. After earning her Juris Doctor, she moved to Beaufort, South Carolina to forge her own career in law.

Ms. Cappelmann’s practice focuses in the areas of auto liability, premises liability, products liability, and trucking defense. She has acted as lead counsel while litigating in federal and state civil cases in Georgia and South Carolina. Ms. Cappelmann was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina in 2014.

Ms. Cappelmann also has experience in many aspects of LLC creation and in representing property owner associations regarding general legal representation.
